What Is Application Software?
Application software is software designed to directly apply a computer’s capabilities to the performance of tasks that benefit the end user. Application software is dependent on Systems software because it is unable to run without an operating system and system utilities.
An application suite, such as Microsoft Office, is a combination of Information Worker Software applications bundled together as a package.
